Waste to Energy Disposal Landfills

Apart from our dedicated card and paper recycling schemes available, Fortress currently disposes of non recyclable material at a Waste to energy landfill plant.

Gases produced by this site are harnessed, and via four gas to electric generation sites generate this Gas into Electricity that is supplied direct to the National Grid.

The site is a completely sealed site constantly inspected by the Enviromental Agency and operated by one of the largest Landfill operators in the UK, Fortress not only chose this site because of its waste to energy facilities, but also because of its high level of awareness for environmental impacts and solutions.
