Due to volumes required to make recycling viable for plastics, only baled plastics can be considered for recycling at this time. Mill sized bails (approximately 450kg) are preferential for the best rebate rates, however, smaller bails can be considered providing the quantity is acceptable.

Typically a plastic is not recycled into the same type of plastic, and products made from recycled plastics are often not recyclable. However, PET (plastic used for bottled soft drinks) and HDPE (plastic used for milk bottles) are now widely recycled. In addition, new technology is being developed which will bring down costs to enable the recycled plastic industry to compete with cheap new plastic. Not only does recycling plastic help protect the natural world, but plastic diverted from landfill avoids landfill tax and therefore saves you money.
