Segregated Card/Paper Recycling Collections

Fortress Recycling is leading the way in recycling of paper and cardboard.

Recycling with Fortress could not be easier. A dedicated recycling container, sufficient in volume to cope with all your paper and cardboard can be provided. The cardboard and paper for recycling can then be placed in a dedicated receptacle which is clearly marked and colour coded with a green lid. The container is collected on your scheduled day(s) and transported to a fully automated recycling centre.

To encourage and assist recycling within the office Fortress can provide special plastic office paper recycling containers. These containers fit naturally into the office environment adjacent to the usual office waste bin. Recycled paper can then be easily moved out of the office at the same time as the usual material from the office waste bins.

All recycled materials are not affected by the Landfill Tax.

Every tonne of paper that is recycled saves 7000 gallons of water and 300 gallons of oil and enough electricity to power an average house for six years.

A domestic television will operate for six hours on the amount of electricity saved by recycling an aluminium can.

The containers are lockable and made of durable plastic. They are easily moved on castor wheels which are lockable for safety purposes. Collections are ticketless but recorded electronically by the collection vehicle via a microchip embedded into the container. The Containers can be supplied in a variety of sizes to suit all types of waste volumes. All dimensions are available below.

240litre containers

These two wheeled can containers hold approximately 4 plastic bags of waste.

360litre containers

As above, however these containers can hold approximately 6 plastic bags of waste.

660litre containers

On four wheels, this container can hold approximately 8 plastic bags of waste.

1100litre containers

This is the largest of the trade waste containers and this particular model can hold up to 15 plastic bags of waste.
