Fortress Recycling has seen rapid growth since its formation in
1981, buoyed by a unique quality of service and reliability.
Today the real Fortress difference is that it is a large organisation,
retaining its family run influence. It is large enough to cope
with the huge investment needed for the latest technology and
equipment, but maintains its original dedication to customer service,
proven by the retention of the first customers from 1981.
The Company was started in 1981 by a former British Airways Pilot
and Chartered Civil Engineer. It began servicing large outdoor
events such as the Royal Show.
However, due to the seasonal nature of the shows, it was decided
to expand the business into the “off season” providing
recycling and waste management solutions for businesses.
